Concept Note

As a part of the golden jubilee celebration of the identity of Arunachal Pradesh as a state it is proposed that a two day symposium be organized in order to sensitize the youth about the journey of the state thus far. A lot of diverse perspectives and contributions from different areas of the society have crafted what we perceive as the state of Arunachal Pradesh today. It is important that as we move ahead and acclimatize to the needs of the modern world laden with technology that we also take care to look back in retrospect to all the events of the past that has made this journey forward possible. The young generation holds the key to the way forward into the modern era taking into account the multi-cultural, multi-lingual and ethnic identity of this land.

In congruence with the one month long celebration of this journey, the 50 Year Celebration Committee, Government of Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University is organizing this symposium. The symposium aims to provide an academic platform for three target groups, namely: undergraduate students, postgraduate students and research scholars (institutional and independent). It aims to achieve the dual goals of making the students aware of the rich heritage of Arunachal Pradesh and initiate the graduate and postgraduate students of different universities and colleges within the state to carve a way ahead for the future of the state. This symposium intends to provide a platform to facilitate the generation of ideas and engagement with the existing ideas in order to exhort the participants to apply and propagate the same.
